Seeds With Enduring Qualities

Often we have heard ourselves using various rationale for why something is going to be certain way or why something is not going to be done on schedule. In order to not appear to be at fault we have developed a ready list of reasons (excuses) for our actions, inabilities or positions we have taken in regard to certain matters. Politicians have given us countless hours of media driven excuses for the current shape of our economy, environment and why we are still involved in the war in Iraq. An excuse is also known as the snow job, white wash, cover up and/or alibi.
Plants and animals seem to just do or do not do the things we expect of them. They do not possess to our knowledge a sophisticated system of rationale for their actions. Many animals lying on the side of the road just did not make it past the car or truck tires coming at them at high speed. In this parking lot several seeds of corn did not need a garden or field to grow to a respectable height. Without so much as one excuse for not sprouting these determined kernels used the smallest amount of soil in a very long crack in the asphalt to gain enough nourishment to sprout up.
When we reach out and embrace our neighbors we see pictures that enhance everyday life in our own international community.
