Beauty Without Warning

When we turn on our televisions we see the world in full color and now most often on a large flat screen. The televised news casts and ever so frequent news bulletins keep us informed about terrorists threats, the latest clashes between religious groups, robberies, traffic snarls due to crashes or weather related scenarios, our local sports teams success and/or failure and a myriad of other bits and pieces of information we cant live without knowing at the moment. All these assaults into our daily life make us aware that every living moment is a possibility for constant change.
The weather patterns during the passage from winter to spring offer many potentials for extremes. On our back porch the blooming daffodils have experienced, soft early morning mist, torrential showers, snowfall, ice pellets, severe gusts of wind and temperatures that have varied from the low 20's to the high 50's. These beautiful stalwarts of springtime live through every minute without the luxury of having newscasts to warn them of the coming intense changes. Instead they keep creating beautiful moments with vividly colored petals and delicate raindrop laden leaves.
When we reach out and embrace our neighbors we see pictures that enhance everyday life in our own international community.
